My name is Bridget Couwenhoven. Yeah, I can't pronounce it either. I'm told that it means house of cows. Who wouldn't want to marry into that? I'm pretty sure that was Luke's pick-up line.
I love being outside, especially walking outside with no particular place to go. My husband would prefer that we would have a place to go and not just walk aimlessly, but you never know where you'll end up when you do it my way! One time my family and I wound up backstage at a cheerleading competition while wandering around Notre Dame. It was like a live version of Bring It On. My mom can vouch for that.
Other things Luke and I enjoy are getting coffee, laughing at baby animal videos, whiskey bars, brunch, exploring new places, jamming out to music and relaxing on the couch watching New Girl or Parks & Rec.
We have one dog named Vader. He jumps like a kangaroo and his main goal in life is to snuggle. He will make a great Sith Lord one day.
I have some pretty great friends who would drop anything if I needed them. The goal of "~*Da Friends*~," as we call ourselves on Snapchat, is to one day own a cul-de-sac and all buy houses within it. It sounded a lot less cultish in my head.
I am a Minneapolis-based wedding photographer. I was introduced to photography about 5 years ago, and it's been something that I have been able to turn to as a creative outlet, a way to express myself, and a method on how to tell stories about my life and for other's who invite me to.
Your wedding photographer is someone that is going to be front and center to a lot of pivotal moments in your relationship. It's crucial that you connect with them and trust them.
I believe that God is the ultimate Creator. I in my own power cannot create anything when it comes to photography. I can only capture. My goal is to help you see the beauty in what's already there by fostering moments where you can express real and raw emotion between you and your hunny bunny lover.
Luke and I have been married for 7 years. While many things in our lives have changed: jobs, life circumstances, living situations, personal growth (to name a few), the thing that hasn't changed are the goofy ways that we interact with each other. It's those little things that make us us, and it's those quirks that I aim to capture in my photography.
I'm a firm believer in
Jesus and His constant pursuit of drawing us closer to Him.
At least 3 cups of coffee per day. I'm wired. Always.
The fact that Justin Timberlake lyrics can apply to any conversation.
Girl, There's just no chance?
Yeah. thought so.
Minimalism. Except for when it comes to shoes. Never enough shoes.
Knowing your weaknesses.
Speaking in memes.
Candles. Pine candles. It's called hygge, bro.
Being who you want to be instead of waiting around for that day to come.
Reading Star Wars blogs. It's casual. Too embarrassing?
