Bright Floral Machine Shop Wedding

Machine Shop in Northeast Minneapolis is a restored brick building event center on St. Anthony Main, with an open plan layout that can truly be decorated to fit whatever style you are wanting! I love seeing what clients dream up and how they decorate the inside of the building for the wedding ceremony and reception. The interior has cement floors, large windows (but blackout curtains if you are wanting a more private event), and a second floor that overlooks the entire building. However, the most unique thing to me is that there is a steel ladder-fixture going horizontally across the center middle of the building where brides have hung floral installments (or whatever they can dream up!) I have also heard that their animal policy is fairly relaxed (llamas even?) so a great space if you are wanting to include your pet as your ring bearer! I mean who doesn’t?

Hunter and Jared were married at Machine Shop in September and chose bright floral tones for their wedding day. I am obsessed with their flowers from Tulips and a Kiss. Although Hunter is a veterinarian, there were no animals present. There was, however, a “King of Marriage” who officiated the ceremony and looked like he came right out of the movie The Princess Bride. Honestly, that topped a lot of charts for me. The man was in a full robe outfit with a hat that was nearly two feet tall. He had to walk very slowly.

Other highlights of the day included the gorgeous Minnesota weather we had over this Labor Day weekend and we were able to end the day with golden hour photos along the Mississippi River and St. Anthony Main area. If you haven’t ever been here at sunset it is magic with string lights and the sun setting over the river. I mean, it makes the cobblestone streets look like this enchanted little town. It’s one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities area and highly photographed for a reason.

Congrats Hunter and Jared!
